Honoring Our Heroes: Law Enforcement Memorial Service
As we close out National Police Week, we stand together to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their communities. This annual Law Enforcement Memorial Service serves as a solemn tribute to their dedication, courage, and unwavering commitment to justice.
Representative Paul Scott delivered a heartfelt message, recognizing the sacrifices made by our officers. Every Law Enforcement agency in Cleveland County was represented, standing in unity to honor those who gave everything to protect and serve.
Their memory remains a guiding light, inspiring us to uphold the values they fought to protect. We are grateful for all who joined us in remembrance.

🐾 Exciting K9 Demo with Deputy Lawrence & K9 Thanos! 🚔
Today, students from North Elementary School got an up-close look at the incredible skills of K9 Thanos and Deputy Lawrence, at Oak Grove Fire Department! From tracking suspects to detecting hidden items, Thanos showed off the precision, discipline, and dedication that make K9 teams an essential part of law enforcement.
This demonstration wasn’t just educational—it was inspiring! The students learned how teamwork and trust between a deputy and their K9 partner help keep our community safe. Big thanks to Oak Grove Fire Department for hosting, and to the students for their curiosity and enthusiasm!

🚔 Community Interdiction Team at Kings Mountain High School Today! 🚔
The Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office Community Interdiction Team (CIT) brought the Seatbelt Convincer to Kings Mountain High School today, giving students a firsthand look at the importance of buckling up.
While the rain may have kept us from capturing many photos, it didn’t dampen the spirit of the event! Students still got to experience the powerful safety demonstration, learning just how crucial seatbelt use is in preventing serious injuries.
A big thank you to our CIT for their dedication to educating and protecting our community—rain or shine!

The Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office has received an increase in Bitcoin and Bond scams. The scammer might impersonate an officer over the phone and demand payment for a fake warrant.
❌ DO NOT fall for these scammers! They may demand personal information, money for alleged warrants, bond amounts, or even threaten arrest. Often, they ask for payments using PayPal, Venmo, Cash App, Gift Cards, and even digital currency, including Bitcoin.
The Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office would never call you demanding payment for a warrant, and we do not offer half-off bonds. If you receive a call from someone like this, hang up and feel free to contact our agency at 📞 704-484-4888!
